About The Position

Senior Helpers is hiring an On Call Weekday Caregiver to support seniors who want to age comfortably in their own homes. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and guarantees 40 hours each week. The employee will work in an office performing filing and paperwork, and will serve as a floating caregiver when a caregiver calls out. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Caregiver duties include supporting clients with daily activities and non-medical care, providing companionship, and following client care plans. Senior Helpers describes its mission as providing compassionate care and improving the quality of life of clients, their families, and employees. The employer is an independently locally owned and operated franchisee of SH Franchising, LLC, doing business as Senior Helpers.

Requirements

• Proficient communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform office filing and paperwork.
• Serve as a floating caregiver when there is a caregiver call-out.
• Assist clients with diet monitoring, walking, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
• Provide companionship through conversation and help with hobbies and meal preparation.
• Assist with non-medical care needs, including normal aging challenges and hospital recovery.
• Follow client care plans and provide updates as needed.
