About The Position
Senior Helpers is hiring an on-call weekend caregiver to fill last-minute shifts when other caregivers call out. The scheduled on-call window is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. If no call-outs occur, the caregiver receives a flat payment of $50. Regular weekday shifts may also be available. Caregivers help seniors remain comfortable in their own homes by providing compassionate, non-medical support and following each client’s care plan.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn new skills to improve clients’ lives.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with diet monitoring, walking, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
- Provide companionship through conversation and help with hobbies and meal preparation.
- Assist with non-medical care needs, including challenges associated with normal aging and recovery after hospitalization.
- Follow the client’s care plan and provide updates as needed.
