On Call Weekend Caregiver
About The Position
This is an on-call weekend caregiver position. The caregiver will be assigned to fill last-minute call-out shifts as they arise. If there are no call-outs, the caregiver will be paid a flat $50. Regular weekday shifts may also be available. The role provides in-home support to seniors, helping them age comfortably at home through assistance with daily activities, companionship, and non-medical care. The employer is an independently locally owned and operated Senior Helpers franchisee. The company describes its mission as providing compassionate care and improving the quality of life of clients, their families, and employees.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn new skills to improve clients’ lives.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with diet monitoring, walking, personal hygiene care, and other activities of daily living.
- Provide companionship through conversation, help with hobbies, and meal preparation.
- Assist with non-medical care needs, including normal aging challenges and hospital recovery.
- Follow the client care plan and provide updates as needed.
