About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population. The role focuses on chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The position requires flexibility to meet the needs of the system across different facilities, along with performing other related duties as assigned or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn is desired.
Requirements
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
