About The Position
PAM Health is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) for its new Dallas rehabilitation hospital. The role provides direct patient care and plans and implements individualized treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the PAM Health system across different facilities. The position supports care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Other related duties may be assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
