About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population. The role offers a flexible schedule and involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements individualized treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices. The assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities and may perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience is desirable, though a commitment to learn is also welcomed.
Requirements
- Hold an Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
