About The Position

AHRC New York City is seeking a Preschool Occupational Therapist for Astoria Blue Feather ELC in Astoria, NY. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., on an 11-month calendar. The posting lists the work address as 2300 Westchester Avenue, Bronx, NY 10462. The Occupational Therapist reviews and interprets assessment data to present students’ needs and capabilities, establishes attainable short- and long-term goals, and prepares IEPs, daily treatment plans, and progress reports as needed. The role works in classroom settings with classroom staff to support an environment that maximizes function and compensates for dysfunction. It also provides purposeful activities or methods to develop, maintain, improve, restore, or maximize function. Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
New York State license required.
Ability to work effectively with children with developmental disabilities.
