About The Position

The company aims to provide effective therapy solutions with patients, partners, and clinicians in mind. The Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, and treats patients; reviews records and develops measurable treatment goals and plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and function. The role also includes supervising Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and communicating evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, families, and team members. The position is PRN and is associated with Pivot at Solera at West Houston in Houston, Texas; other listed facilities across Texas are also identified as PRN locations.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
- Hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
- Have good communication skills and the ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
- Be capable of performing the responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
- Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
- Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function.
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
- Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
