Occupational Therapist (OT)
About The Position
Powerback is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in an in-facility setting. The Occupational Therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The role involves adapting care to individual patient needs, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and teaching patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab. Powerback describes its services as integrated and individualized, focused on helping patients recover and improve how they feel, move, breathe, and live. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs.
- Develop patient recovery plans.
- Deliver occupational therapy to support recovery.
- Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
- Adapt therapy to individual patient needs and care settings.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
- Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
