About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist in Bishopville, South Carolina, to provide personalized care to residents in a skilled nursing facility and long-term care setting. The therapist will join an established, collaborative rehabilitation team and help residents improve their health, function, independence, and quality of life. The role includes evaluating clients, developing individualized treatment plans, educating clients and families, maintaining documentation, and advocating for clients’ needs. Compensation is hourly, up to $50 based on experience.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Develop personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families about improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
