About The Position

Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment needed during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit. The role requires understanding the procedure being performed, anticipating the surgeon’s needs, and having the knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure while maintaining vigilance over the sterile field. Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Graduate of a Surgical Technologist training program, or one year of previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist, or three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certification.
