About The Position

Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment needed during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room in the Labor and Delivery unit. Understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the surgeon’s needs. Provides quality patient care during the operative procedure and vigilantly maintains the sterile field. Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist training program, or one year of previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist, or three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certification.
