About The Position

The OB Tech functions as a member of the surgical team, assisting the surgeon and RN in delivering direct patient care throughout the operative experience. The OB Tech acts as the primary scrub person during operative procedures. The role also assists with the care and comfort of Labor and Delivery patients and their families and performs clinical, environmental, and secretarial tasks under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and in coordination with peers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• CNA, Medical Assistant, or OB Tech certification.
• Ability to function in urgent or emergent situations.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in Women's Health, Obstetrics, Labor and Delivery, or the OR preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish abilities highly desirable.
