About The Position

Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during obstetrical operations performed in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit. The role requires understanding the procedure being performed and anticipating the surgeon’s needs. The technologist ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintains vigilance over the sterile field. Patient care duties are performed under the direction of a registered nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist training program, or one year of previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist, or three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
