About The Position

Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment needed during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit. The OB Surgical Technologist understands the procedures being performed and anticipates the surgeon’s needs. The role requires the knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures and constant vigilance in maintaining the sterile field. Patient care duties are performed under the direction of a registered nurse.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program, or have one year of previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist, or have three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
