About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a part-time Nutrition Coordinator for its Patient Food Service team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Nutrition Coordinators are part of the caregiving team and support patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and delivered at the correct time and temperature. They are assigned units in a healthcare facility and help patients select menus, assemble and deliver meal trays, and retrieve trays.
Requirements
- Less than one year of customer service experience (required).
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
- Obtain patient preferences and modify tray identifiers accordingly.
- Support and promote patient satisfaction and participate with a multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of care and services.
- Work with caregivers and the culinary team to identify menu alternatives for patients with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences, or questions about additional selections.
- Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
- Deliver and retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
- Communicate patient problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
