About The Position

The Hospital Electrician maintains, repairs, and installs electrical systems and equipment within a healthcare facility, including power distribution systems, lighting, and specialized medical equipment. The role ensures safe and efficient operation, follows stringent safety standards, troubleshoots electrical issues, and performs preventive maintenance to minimize disruptions to hospital operations. The position serves as a first responder to requests for electrical repairs across a wide variety of equipment, systems, and building components. Electrical work is primary, with general mechanical assignments as needed.

Requirements

More than 5 years of electrical experience.
1–2 years of HVAC experience.
1–2 years of mechanical experience.
1–2 years of electronic experience.
Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution systems, panels, and circuits.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs corrective and preventive maintenance to complete scheduled and non-scheduled work orders.
Operates and maintains technically sophisticated mechanical and electrical equipment.
Provides training to staff in the use of utilities and equipment.
Performs detailed repair work as assigned and other related work.
Responds to requests for electrical repairs involving equipment, systems, and building components.
