About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is hiring a full-time Nutrition Coordinator for its Patient Food Service team at the Baptist Nassau location in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Nutrition Coordinators are part of the caregiving team and help support patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and delivered at the appropriate time and temperature. Coordinators are assigned units in a healthcare facility and help patients make menu selections, assemble meals, and deliver and retrieve trays. The schedule is 12-hour shifts, 2.5 days on and 2.5 days off, with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Less than one year of customer service experience.

- High school diploma preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders meet their nutritional requirements or restrictions.
- Obtain patient preferences and modify tray identifiers accordingly.
- Support patient satisfaction and participate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of care and services.
- Work with caregivers and the culinary team to identify menu alternatives for patients with allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences, or questions about additional selections.
- Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection accurately and promptly.
- Deliver and retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
- Communicate patient problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly, following department procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
