About The Position

Carlton Shores Health & Rehab Center is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor to oversee residents and manage the facility’s nursing team. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of resident care, assessing resident needs, developing care plans, administering and evaluating nursing care, and supervising CNAs and other personnel. This is a full-time evening position in Daytona Beach, Florida, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

Current Florida state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
One to three years of related experience.
Proven work experience as a nursing supervisor.
Team management skills.
Strong communication and people skills.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives to improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
Complete resident assessments at admission and discharge.
Supervise assigned nursing staff and allocate duties to LPNs and nursing assistants as directed.
Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status.
Implement established nursing policies and procedures and educate nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
Review charting weekly for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain a safe working environment and comply with infection control and body mechanics procedures.
Respond to staffing shortages by arranging replacement staff.
Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to support proactive improvement.
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
