About The Position

The Nursing Assistant works in the Medical Unit at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, supporting patients throughout their hospital stay and working alongside nurses and other clinical professionals. Under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses, the role provides basic physical care and nursing procedures, assists with patient comfort measures, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with a stated schedule of 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. on variable days of the week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school specialized training preferred.
• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic physical care and nursing procedures under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses.
