Nursing Assistant (NA) - Cardiac Telemetry - Full Time Days
About The Position
Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its Cardiac Telemetry Unit. This role provides direct patient care and supports patient safety and comfort under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director, with possible guidance from an LPN. Duties vary by patient care unit and department. The position is 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. The role works within its scope to meet Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory and accrediting requirements.
Requirements
- If not already certified as a Nursing Assistant, register as a Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within 3 months of employment.
- Obtain BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- Work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene care.
- Assist with patients’ nutritional needs.
- Provide comfort care and other assistance.
- Transfer patients appropriately and safely.
- Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping.
- Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.
- Work within job scope to meet Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and accrediting requirements.
