About The Position

Join INTEGRIS Health Grove in Grove, Oklahoma, as a night-shift, PRN Nurse Tech serving the Stepdown ICU. INTEGRIS Health is Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system. The role supports patient care and safety through personal care, treatments, basic diagnostic testing, and select sterile procedures. Nurse Techs may not administer medications or independently assess patients. The position reports to the assigned Clinical leader. The work may involve additional or varied physical demands and/or respiratory fit-test requirements, as well as potential exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Requirements

Must have completed one semester of nursing school with clinical experience at an eligible state-accredited nursing program.
Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform personal patient care tasks, including mouth care, making beds, bathing, perineal care, hair care, shaving, backrubs, and emptying bedpans or urinals.
Assist with patient safety, including checking identification armbands, following fall protocols and restraint requirements, positioning patients, promoting rest and sleep, and reporting incidents or injuries.
Perform treatments that may include urinary catheter care, enema administration, preparing sitz baths, applying compresses, and assisting with patient ambulation.
Conduct and document basic diagnostic testing, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, 12-lead EKGs, telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry, and Doppler testing.
Perform select sterile procedures, including specimen collection, wound care, tracheostomy care and suction, urinary catheterization, and tube feedings.
Retrieve and transport medications as needed; Nurse Techs may not administer medications or independently assess patients.
Follow standard precautions.
Report to the assigned Clinical leader.
