About The Position

The Shift Supervisor supervises licensed nurses and other nursing personnel in the delivery of care during the assigned shift. The supervisor manages care in accordance with the company’s philosophy, professional nursing practice standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The position is for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Ben Hur in Crawfordsville.

The role calls for a supportive presence with residents, leadership skills or a willingness to learn staff-management approaches, and a passion for teaching, leading, and mentoring. The supervisor uses clinical knowledge to meet the needs of residents, families, and staff, and promotes communication and interdisciplinary approaches to resident care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Indiana RN or LPN license, or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
• Demonstrate the C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
• Management experience, or willingness and desire to learn appropriate approaches to managing staff.
• Clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to promote communication and collaboration in resident care.
