About The Position

Carlton Shores Health & Rehab Center is seeking an RN or LPN Nursing Supervisor to oversee resident care and manage the nursing team at its skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. The supervisor oversees delivery of care, assesses resident needs, develops care plans, administers and evaluates nursing care, and supervises CNAs and other personnel. The position is scheduled for the evening shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

• Current Florida state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One to three years of related experience.
• Proven work experience as a nursing supervisor.
• Team-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and participate in process-improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, or improve the work environment.
• Complete resident assessments at admission and discharge.
• Supervise assigned nursing staff and allocate duties to LPNs and nursing assistants as directed.
• Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
• Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and resident status.
• Implement established nursing policies and procedures and educate nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
• Review charting weekly for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with infection-control and body-mechanics procedures.
• Respond to staffing shortages by arranging replacement staff.
• Track infection-control, exposure-control, and resident-care trends to support proactive improvement.
• Complete other special projects and duties as assigned.
