Night Driver/Warehouse Associate
About The Position
The Night Delivery Driver provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries to internal and external customers. The role delivers and picks up products from customer drop sites to fulfill customer needs while performing general driver duties. It also performs warehouse assignments and assists customers, prioritizing safety and accuracy while representing Mygrant Glass in warehouses and in the field. The position is nonexempt and reports to the Branch Manager. It requires availability for evening delivery routes and includes driving, warehouse, inventory, customer service, and documentation duties.
Requirements
- Pass an MVR check.
- Safely and competently operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pickers.
- Have 3–5 years of driving and delivery experience.
- Have at least 2 years of driving experience or equivalent.
- Have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Have strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and adaptable to warehouse environments.
- Be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to work cohesively as part of a team and take direction in changing work conditions.
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Have a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- CMV DOT Medical card preferred.
Responsibilities
- Be available for evening delivery routes.
- Unload inventory from incoming vehicles, inspect it for damage, process it, and stock it.
- Pick the correct products and quantities for orders.
- Load racks and trucks with glass.
- Clean glass, assess stock for damage, and affix proper labels to glass.
- Follow delivery routes and schedules to deliver products and receive returns on time.
- Process and record payments and enter data into the ordering system.
- Safely operate the delivery vehicle.
- Receive and process returned stock.
- Complete logs and documentation.
- Communicate with team leaders as needed to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Break down boxes, stock accessories, organize inventory, and perform other warehouse duties as directed.
- Interact with and assist customers during deliveries.
- Perform other job tasks as assigned.
