About The Position

The Night Butler is responsible for various food and beverage duties, including culinary requests, during the normal third-shift overnight hours. This is an on-call position. The role takes after-hours room service orders, prepares and delivers food to guest rooms, assists with breakfast buffet and Terrace Bar setup, and helps maintain clean back-of-house and dish-pit areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of Prep Cook or Line Cook experience.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage and kitchens.
• Ability to learn the overnight menu and prepare food according to hotel specifications.
• Knowledge of table setup and presentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
• Working knowledge of the ALOHA POS system.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handling certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take after-hours room service orders by phone and accurately record the guest name, room number, order time, and delivery timing.
• Cook room service orders and deliver food to guest rooms.
• Enter guest orders and issue a guest check for each order.
• Monitor guest orders and ensure delivery within the quoted time; record both order and delivery times on order tickets.
• Manage issued banks, payments, change, and the accuracy of closed checks.
• Conduct shift-end reports and forward them to the accounting department.
• Assist with breakfast buffet setup and Terrace Bar setup.
• Assist with back-of-house cleaning.
• Wash dirty dishes and maintain a clean dish pit.
