About The Position

The Night Auditor attends to guests’ needs, balances the revenue and expense transactions that occurred during the day, and performs front desk functions during the audit shift. The role requires strong communication and guest-service skills and the ability to take appropriate action to meet and exceed guest expectations. The position is with The DAYTONA Hotel, Autograph Collection, managed by Shaner Hotels.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overnight hours.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend to guests’ needs and handle guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Balance revenue and expense transactions from the day.
• Perform front desk functions during the audit shift.
• Process check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Follow payment, cash-handling, and credit policies and procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments or personnel.
• Communicate effectively with guests, management, and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
