About The Position

The Night Auditor oversees the hotel's financial and administrative activities during the night shift, working independently and with attention to detail. The role includes providing guest services, managing front desk operations, reconciling accounts and revenue, preparing reports, and helping maintain the safety and security of guests and the property. The position is part-time at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Jupiter, Florida.

The role requires extended standing and walking, as well as climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Some work takes place in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent previous experience.
• Proven experience in hotel front office operations or guest services.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and computer systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with late check-ins and early check-outs, and respond to inquiries, concerns, and requests.
• Process night-time guest check-ins and check-outs; manage reservations and room assignments.
• Handle phone calls, take messages, and provide information to guests.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, guest interactions, and other relevant information while complying with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports for the next day's operations.
• Compile and distribute daily reports to management, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.
• Verify and reconcile guest accounts, charges, and payments.
• Prepare and balance daily revenue reports covering room, food and beverage, and other revenue.
• Post charges, payments, and adjustments to guest accounts.
• Perform end-of-day reconciliation and close the day's financial transactions in the hotel's property management system.
• Monitor the hotel premises at night to help ensure the safety and security of guests and the property.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, and take appropriate action.
