About The Position

NAVAX is seeking a New Business Sales Manager to play a central role in developing and expanding our new customer business, contributing significantly to our growth. This role involves identifying, approaching, and qualifying new customers, building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, and managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving quantitative goals, collaborating with marketing and presales teams, actively using and maintaining the CRM system, applying company sales methodologies, and conducting market and competitor analysis. Reporting to the Director Sales & Marketing, this position is crucial for driving new business acquisition.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in sales, ideally in the B2B software/IT environment with a focus on new customer acquisition.
  • Proven success in building and closing new business, coupled with a strong hunter mentality.
  • Experience with structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale) and CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex software solutions and articulate customer benefits.
  • Negotiation skills and closing strength throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • High self-motivation, goal orientation, and resilience, even during longer sales cycles.
  • Strong communication and networking skills, and enthusiasm for the IT industry.
  • Practical, demonstrable use of AI-supported tools in daily sales activities (e.g., for customer research, account analysis, or preparation of customer meetings) - not new territory, but lived practice.
  • Very good German language skills (written and spoken) and proficient English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independent identification, approach, and qualification of new customers (lead-to-opportunity conversion).
  • Building and actively maintaining a solid sales pipeline according to defined forecast categories.
  • Managing the entire sales cycle from first contact to contract conclusion (end-to-end deal ownership).
  • Creating and negotiating offers and contract agreements within the scope of internal approval processes.
  • Achieving defined quantitative goals (e.g., new customer revenue, number of deals, pipeline volume/coverage ratio).
  • Close collaboration with Marketing (MQL handover, campaign feedback) and Presales/Consulting for complex opportunities.
  • Active use and maintenance of the CRM system (opportunity, activity, and forecast documentation) as a binding basis for work.
  • Application of company-wide sales methodology (e.g., Challenger Sale) including participation in training/coaching.
  • Market observation and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
  • Reporting to the Director Sales & Marketing (pipeline reviews, forecast calls).
