About The Position

A warm, relaxed family in Westfield, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced, energetic, and nurturing full-time nanny to care for their bright, engaging 2-year-old daughter. The position may be live-in or live-out. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The family provides a vehicle for work-related transportation. The start date is ASAP, and COVID-19 vaccination is required. The family is looking for a dependable, trustworthy caregiver with a teacher-like approach and a passion for early childhood education and child development. The nanny will provide safe, happy, stimulating days with meaningful interaction and learning, using a warm, patient, nurturing, energetic, and engaging approach. Childcare is the primary responsibility; household support is secondary and is appreciated during school hours and naps. The family values healthy, vegetable-forward cooking, including meal preparation for Mom during the week. The child is curious, kind, funny, and bright. She enjoys singing, dancing, music classes, ballet, and gymnastics, and the family hopes the nanny will foster her love of learning, encourage independence, and offer enriching, age-appropriate activities. The family uses gentle, age-appropriate discipline focused on acknowledging feelings, redirecting behavior, and maintaining consistency. They seek a nanny who can support the child's emotional development while setting appropriate boundaries and who may become a valued, long-term member of the household. For the live-in arrangement, additional household upkeep includes maintaining the nanny's bedroom and bathroom and helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the home. Professional cleaners visit regularly. Applicants must be able to provide valid work and childcare references and will be subject to background screening.
