About The Position

A family in Westfield, New Jersey, is seeking a reliable, engaging caregiver to support their nearly 4-year-old child and assist with household management. The caregiver will encourage the child's interests in crafts, reading, and music, help keep the home organized, and occasionally provide companionship to the grandmother who lives in the home. The household is smoke-free, pet-free, and multigenerational. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Saturday and Sunday availability as needed. The start date is ASAP. Compensation is $17–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience. The family will provide a gas stipend or reimbursement for transportation duties. Candidates must pass a background check and provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. This is a private, family-hired position; caregivers are hired directly by the family and are not employed by Wellthy.

Requirements

Relevant nanny and household management experience.
Valid driver's license.
Personal vehicle for transportation duties.
Pass a background check.
Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Assist the child with personal care, including bathing and dressing.
Provide potty assistance.
Plan meals, prepare food, and feed the child.
Engage the child in educational activities, arts and crafts, and homework help.
Arrange playdates and outings.
Administer medication when necessary.
Provide companion care for the grandmother as time allows.
Transport the child to and from school, outside activities, and medical appointments.
Perform light housekeeping and family laundry.
Organize the home and run errands.
