Full Time / Part Time Nanny
About The Position
Jovie is hiring on-call back-up nannies to provide in-home care for multiple families. Nannies care for children from infancy through toddlerhood, with the greatest demand for care of children under age 2. The role focuses on keeping children safe and leading hands-on activities suited to their age and observed development. Nannies are not required to transport children and have no household duties beyond reasonable cleanup of activities or meals shared with the child. The position offers flexible scheduling around other commitments, though candidates must be available at least three weekdays for 6–8-hour shifts scheduled between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jovie provides paid training and a kit of age-appropriate activities and games to bring to assignments. Nannies may have opportunities to advance and be placed with families seeking a consistent full- or part-time nanny.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Experience working with children, paid or unpaid; infant experience is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area.
- Available at least three weekdays for 6–8-hour shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer, or as a retired teacher or teaching professional.
Responsibilities
