Full Time / Part Time Nanny
About The Position
Jovie is seeking on-call backup nannies to provide in-home childcare for multiple families in Minneapolis and the surrounding area. The role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with children from infancy through toddlerhood, with especially high demand for care for children under age two. Nannies provide a safe, engaging environment and lead hands-on activities suited to children’s ages and development. Child transportation is not required, and household duties are limited to reasonable cleanup of activities or meals shared with the child. The position offers paid training and a nanny kit of age-appropriate activities and games to bring to assignments. Nannies may have opportunities to advance in childcare and to be considered first for placements with families seeking a consistent full- or part-time nanny. Employment is on a W-2 basis and includes unemployment insurance. The role requires availability on at least three weekdays for 6–8-hour shifts scheduled between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., as well as travel to various homes in the area.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Experience working with children, paid or unpaid; infant experience is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area.
- Availability on at least three weekdays for 6–8-hour shifts scheduled between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Communicative and responsive approach when working with the staffing supervisor.
Nice To Haves
- Prior work as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer, or experience as a retired teacher or teaching professional.
Responsibilities
