About The Position

Jovie is seeking on-call backup nannies to provide in-home care for multiple families. Nannies care for children from infancy through toddlerhood, with especially high demand for care for children under age 2. The role does not require transporting children and has no household duties beyond reasonable cleanup of activities or meals with the child. Nannies engage children through attentive supervision and hands-on activities suited to their age and developmental stage. The schedule is flexible, with availability required on at least three weekdays for 6–8-hour shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The role offers paid training and a nanny kit, along with opportunities to advance and be considered first for placements with families seeking a consistent nanny.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid.
• Infant-care experience is mandatory.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area.
• Available at least three weekdays for 6–8-hour shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Care for children in families’ homes; transporting children is not required.
• Provide care for children ranging from infants through toddlers, including children under age 2.
• Keep children safe and lead hands-on activities appropriate to their age and development.
• Clean up activities or meals with the child as needed.
• Travel to various homes throughout the area.
