About The Position
Hebrew Home at Riverdale, a senior retirement community in Riverdale, New York, is seeking talented, engaging musicians to provide live entertainment for senior residents. Musicians may perform on piano, violin, guitar, or other instruments and help create enjoyable, memorable experiences. Opportunities are part-time or on-call, with flexible arrangements potentially available based on availability. Pay is $25–$30 per hour. Scheduled opportunities include two weekdays per week from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and/or Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call musicians provide as-needed coverage; availability any day or time throughout the week, including weekends, is welcome.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and the ability to perform live for an audience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, engaging presence.
- Ability to adapt music selections to meet residents’ preferences and abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Availability to perform during weekdays, with occasional weekend availability.
Nice To Haves
- Experience performing for older adults or in a senior living, healthcare, or community setting.
