MTS Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Austin, TX

About The Position

AMD is hiring an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role oversees definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development; determines architecture and logic design or system simulation; defines module interfaces and formats for simulation; and leads multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts. The engineer evaluates the process flow from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. The role works with cross-functional teams on ASIC and layout design, handles complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and drives projects or processes of significant technical importance. It exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria, and applies engineering principles, best practices, and technology to the design, development, and testing of AMD products. No travel is required. Multiple openings are available.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
