MTS Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Austin, TX

About The Position

AMD is hiring an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development; determines architecture and logic design or system simulation; and defines module interfaces and formats for simulation. It leads multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts and evaluates the process flow from high-level design through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. The engineer works with cross-functional teams on ASIC and layout design, handles complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and drives projects or processes of significant technical importance. The position calls for independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria, and applies engineering principles, best practices, and technology to design, develop, and test AMD products. Travel is not required. Multiple openings are available.
