About The Position

Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role applies knowledge of electronic theory and oversees definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. The engineer determines architecture and logic design and/or system simulation; defines module interfaces and formats for simulation; and leads multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts. The role evaluates process flows from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. It works with cross-functional engineering teams on ASIC and layout design, drives projects or processes of significant technical importance, and independently selects methods and evaluation criteria. The engineer applies engineering principles, best practices, and broad knowledge of computers and electronics to design, develop, and test company products and resolve complex issues. Multiple openings are available. Travel is not required. The posting is for an existing vacancy.
