MSK Teletherapy Physical Therapist / PTA - California
About The Position
Treat PeteDME’s MSK Integrated Care patients remotely from home. The program combines knee and lumbar bracing with physical therapy and remote therapeutic monitoring, delivered through a network of in-home therapists. Remote visits and monitoring are paid per visit and per call. Therapists begin with six paid in-person brace fittings for patients from their existing caseload. Each fitting includes intake, fitting, and follow-up, for a flat fee agreed in writing before the first patient. PeteDME provides a screening tool to identify suitable patients and handles prescriptions, benefit verification, and paperwork. After completing six fittings, therapists can receive teletherapy patient referrals from PeteDME and treat them from home on their own schedule. This is additional independent-contractor work alongside the therapist’s current job. The role includes specialized orthopedic-bracing training and certification, plus AI-generated SOAP notes; no new EMR is required. It is not a sales or referral role.
Requirements
- Hold an active physical therapist or physical therapist assistant license in the state where practicing.
- Currently work in home health or another in-home setting.
- Evaluate patients and provide treatment.
Responsibilities
- Treat MSK Integrated Care patients through remote physical therapy visits and remote therapeutic monitoring.
- Complete six in-person brace fittings for patients from the therapist’s current caseload, including intake, fitting, and follow-up.
- Identify potential fitting candidates among existing patients using the provided screening tool.
- Evaluate patients and provide treatment.
- After completing six fittings, treat PeteDME-referred teletherapy patients from home on the therapist’s schedule.
