About The Position

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is recruiting a full-time Flex MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital on the evening shift. The technologist performs MRI procedures according to departmental protocols, documents patient information, transmits images to PACS, conducts quality control, and provides customer service and safe, appropriate care to patients across age groups. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is advertised for eligible candidates.

Requirements

Completion of ARRT registry is required.
Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. Technologists hired without MRI certification have a two-year grace period after hire to pass the exam.
Completion of a two-year associate degree program in Radiology.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
Experience with Siemens products.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols.
Perform duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
Transmit optimum-quality images to the PACS system.
Obtain and document an adequate patient history.
Perform quality control and digitize films.
Provide superior customer service to patients, family members, and members of the health care team.
Perform assigned work safely, follow established departmental safety rules and practices, and promptly report unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, employees, patients, or visitors.
Provide appropriate care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, applying knowledge of growth and development and identifying patient needs.
