About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technician (MAVT) to transport private patients and patients from skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Patients may use wheelchairs or be ambulatory but need assistance using devices. The technician is responsible for patients’ safe transport and care throughout appointments, including visits to doctors’ offices, dialysis treatments, physical therapy, and other medically necessary destinations. This is a per-diem position with varied shifts.

Requirements

• Current and valid Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technician certification.
• Current and valid Healthcare Provider BLS CPR card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must obtain CEVO certification within three months of hire and renew it every three years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good driving history within the past three years.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients who use wheelchairs or need assistance with mobility devices.
• Provide care to patients throughout transport and appointments.
• Transport patients to doctors’ offices, dialysis treatments, physical therapy, and other medically necessary destinations.
