About The Position

The Mobility Technician supports patient care by providing skilled mobility assistance based on each patient’s mobility score and goals. This is an onsite position at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado, within the Medicine Specialties department. The schedule is PRN, listed as 0.00 hours per two-week pay period, with a flexible shift. The role pays $18.54–$24.10 per hour, depending on relevant experience. The technician works with clinical staff to assist with patient mobility, take relevant vital signs, and document care in Epic. The role also includes communicating changes or abnormal findings to nursing or therapy staff and keeping mobility equipment and the unit clean and organized in accordance with infection-prevention guidelines. Employees must use sound judgment and critical-thinking skills, work with minimal supervision, and respond appropriately in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

Hold BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date.
BLS certification must remain valid through 60 days after hire; renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Assist clinical staff with patient mobility according to patient mobility scores and goals.
Take vital signs as appropriate for mobility needs and document in the electronic medical record.
Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, emotional, or mental conditions to nursing and/or therapy staff.
Report on patient mobility and align care with nursing and therapy staff.
Document directly in Epic to support clinical team assessments.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of mobility equipment and the unit, as appropriate, in accordance with infection-prevention guidelines.
Use critical-thinking skills and decisive judgment, work with minimal supervision, and take appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.
