Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare•Tampa, FL
•Onsite

About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care for pets and their families in Tampa, Lutz, Citrus Park, University, Clearwater, and the surrounding metropolitan area. The veterinarian will help families through end-of-life moments by providing attentive, dignified care in the comfort of their homes. The role offers a slower-paced alternative to traditional clinic practice, with a few appointments per day and time to listen, explain, and support families. The veterinarian practices independently while traveling to appointments, with onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues available for support. Scheduling options range from two to five days per week, including self-managed part-time scheduling and full-time schedules. Veterinarians choose four weekend days per month rather than following a fixed weekend rotation. Guaranteed compensation depends on schedule, with stated options of $135,000 for a five-day full-time schedule, $110,000 for a four-day full-time schedule, and prorated compensation for other schedules. The stated guaranteed compensation range is $65,000 to $155,000, with quarterly bonus opportunities.
