Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Hamburg, Lancaster, Lockport, New York, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation for three-, four-, and five-day schedules is available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must complete a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Practice veterinary medicine independently while serving families during significant end-of-life moments.
