About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an in-home Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in New London, Groton, Waterford, Stonington, Norwich, Colchester, Glastonbury, Middletown, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian practices independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. The role averages three to four appointments per day, allowing time with families and less paperwork. Part-time, two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a post-hire background check and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
