About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring an in-home associate veterinarian serving Orange County, California, including Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach, Anaheim, Santa Ana, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role is designed to support professional fulfillment and personal balance while allowing veterinarians to practice independently as part of a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The company provides onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center.

Part-time opportunities are available on flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. The advertised part-time, two-day-per-week opportunity offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules are available upon request.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home veterinary hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
• Practice independently while remaining connected to company leaders, mentors, managers, and support professionals.
