About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Hernando, Florida, including Inverness, Brooksville, Crystal River, Istachatta, Masaryktown, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, offering unhurried support during meaningful end-of-life moments. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities for two to five days per week. The role averages three to four appointments per day. Lap of Love provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center to support veterinarians working independently in the field. The position offers a guaranteed base salary, bonus opportunities, and benefits.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
