About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian in Dayton, Ohio, including Xenia, Springfield, Springboro, Miamisburg, Fairborn, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling, typically 2–5 days per week, and an average of 3–4 unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The organization is veterinarian-founded and owned and describes its culture as supportive and kind. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed base salary of $45,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Candidates are subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide hospice care for pets and their families.
