About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Lebanon, Elizabethtown, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, supporting families during meaningful and difficult moments. This veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules and an emphasis on professional fulfillment and personal well-being.

The role includes an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with comprehensive onboarding, ongoing training, personalized mentorship, experienced leaders available for support, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are also described, with compensation details available upon request.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
