About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Morristown, Newton, Hackettstown, Randolph, Rockaway, Wayne, Parsippany, New Jersey, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with an emphasis on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a supportive culture. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians receive comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center, while practicing independently in the field. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed base salary of $65,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Candidates must be available to work some weekends, hold a valid U.S. driver's license, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. A background and motor vehicle record check will be conducted after hire and before the associated start date.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
